Your mission

Role Overview:
Wattstor is looking for an Energy Trading Analyst to join our dynamic team in Brno and play a pivotal role in the evolution of our groundbreaking products.
This is an ideal role for someone working within a trading function of an energy trading organisation and has also worked with technology teams to build trading solutions.
As an Energy Trading Analyst, you will be developing Wattstor’s trading strategies and integrating them in our product, enhancing its trading capabilities in the wholesale power markets.
Your expertise in power trading and product management will be essential in creating automated solutions that empower Wattstor to maximize revenue while reducing carbon footprint.
At the heart of Wattstor's offering is PriceProtect, a next-generation electricity supply tariff that integrates grid electricity with onsite renewable generation and battery energy storage. This innovative contract guarantees customers rates lower than the market, all while capping overall costs.

As an Energy Trading Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Optimisation: identify optimal way for Wattstor’s behind the meter assets to be traded across different markets
Trading: trade formulation and trade execution to exchange venues and trade capture
Risk Management: trade valuation based on market prices (MTM, PNL, Exposure)
Deal lifecycle: define Wattstor’s trade capture, book structure, settlement of contracts and interfacing between external and internal systems (Exchange to in house product)
Market supporting activities: Support with margin calculations, credit requirements and regulations with exchanges and market operators.

Your profile

Desired skills:

Previous experience in the electricity trading industry
Knowledge of trade lifecycle – starting from trade capture all the way to settlement.
Familiarity with trading processes, regulations, and market dynamics is
advantageous.
Work closely with external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of products and services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Product Owner with a focus on Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
