Hardware manager

Your mission
Role purpose:
We are looking for a technically strong and hands-on Hardware Manager to lead and grow our hardware development capabilities. This role focuses on the system-level design and specification of key components including Battery inverters, PV inverters, MPPTs, Batteries, and the AC/DC-coupled architecture of our integrated energy systems. The ideal candidate will manage the Hardware Team and collaborate closely with our embedded software developers, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and robust performance of our systems across various customer deployments..

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Designing AC and DC coupled system architectures and ensuring proper integration across subsystems.

  • Managing and mentoring the Hardware Team and Embedded software developers.

  • Working with product management and EMS development teams to define technical requirements and interfaces.

  • Evaluating and selecting technology suppliers and key component partners.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, EMC and grid-code regulations (UK, EU)

  • Ensuring seamless integration of embedded control logic and communication protocols with hardware.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and system-level issues during development and deployment.

  • Documenting hardware designs, integration guides, and testing procedures.


Your profile
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong background in electrical or power electronics engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the renewable energy or Battery storage systems.

  • Hands-on experience with Hardware and Software integrations for Monitoring and management.

  • Previous team leadership or managerial experience.

  • Strong ability to read and develop electrical schematics and system diagrams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Innovative and structured thinker capable of system-level understanding.

  • English language proficiency at least at B2 level.

  • Category B driver's license and active driving experience. Possession of a category B driver’s license - must be an active driver

  • Analytical and conceptual thinker with the ability to understand connections beyond established procedures

  • Proficiency in the English language, at least at B2 level
