Field Service Engineer

Your mission
Role
Wattstor is looking for a skilled and reliable Field Service Engineer to support the delivery and long-term operation of energy storage and energy management systems.
 In this role, you will be responsible for on-site service execution, including corrective interventions, preventive maintenance, and technical support during commissioning and aftersales activities.
You will act as the on-site representative of the Service Organisation, ensuring systems are serviced safely, efficiently, and in line with SLA commitments.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of on-site corrective interventions, repairs, and troubleshooting activities at customer installations
  • Execution of preventive maintenance activities according to defined maintenance plans and SLA requirements
  • On-site technical diagnostics of BESS, EMS, and related electrical systems, including identification of faults and validation of corrective actions
  • Collaboration with Technical Service Engineers during incident resolution, including following defined technical solutions and escalation procedures
  • Support of commissioning, testing, and system validation activities when required
  • Documentation of all service activities, findings, parts usage, and outcomes in service systems and work reports
  • Providing technical feedback, lessons learned, and field observations to support continuous service improvement and knowledge management
Your profile
Required Skills and Experience
  • Technical education or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, energy systems, automation, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or technical support, ideally within energy systems or BESS
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, Single Line Diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation
  • Practical troubleshooting skills across electrical, system, and component-level issues
  • Valid driving license (category B) and willingness to travel to customer sites and work independently in the field
  • Participation in an on-call duty rotation to support critical incidents outside standard working hours, in line with SLA requirements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with remote support teams
  • English at a communicative level
  • Fluent in the Czech or Slovak language
  • This role will also require participation in an on-call rotation.
